Games Proposal - Game Studio Superfan - Splash Damage (Submission!!) After getting some help from my tutor Pete on fixing the time issue, I added in checkpoints, crates (+15 seconds to the current time), npc (+30), reload (-3) & added rules on the wall (at the start of the level). Once all that was complete, I played tested it and fix some stats / numbers with enemies. I did a video walkthrough of completing the level (I can't remember if I mention it last week) but I'm going to quickly add it in here. When saving Mikayla at the end of the level, you have to bring her back to the transport (which is where you spawn in) and a lot of melee enemies spawn in, so the player must defeat them and make in back to the beginning in-time! I added this feature to make the player feel like they are being chased. Games Proposal - Game Studio Superfan - Splash Damage Week 2 by Chris Lomax During the past week I have covered: Enemy AI (ranged & melee), character health bar with a proper ammo UI & a heath pack that enemies drop. I created a timer system (that doesn't work as intended at the moment, so I'm going to speak to Pete about it to see if we can solve it. If not, the game can be played without it). The goal of the timer would be, for example when you start the game, the timer will start to countdown every second, starting at 10 minutes. If you die, a minute is taken off. If you give kill enemies / save survivors, time will be added on. The issues I have, is when the player dies, the timer starts again and overlaps the old timer. For some reason 9:59 never shows, it goes 10:00, 09:00, 09:58. And lastly, when the player kills an enemy, it adds 10 seconds, but for example, if the time is on 08:58, it would go to 08:68 (which is incorrect). So there's three issues I have th...

 Games Proposal - Game Studio Superfan - Splash Damage Week 1 I originally pitched the "one button" challenge about a game focused on educational purposes and rocks. I liked the idea of doing this, but the more I thought about it, the more it seemed like I was trying to force this idea (which I didn't really like) and I also want to heavily focus on level design. I thought about it and I changed my pitch to do the "Game Studio Superfan", where I picked the studio "Splash Damage" and came up with the idea to make an FPS game of Gears Tactics. I'm going to combine Act 1 - Chapters 2, 3 & 4 together, as they are all rescue missions and they fit into with one another smoothly.
